Corrections Policy

Accuracy is the foundation of trustworthy journalism. When Indian Media House makes an error — factual, contextual, or editorial — we correct it quickly, clearly, and without hiding the mistake.

Our Commitment

  • Corrections are made as soon as an error is confirmed, regardless of how long the article has been published.
  • A clearly labelled correction notice is appended to the top of the affected article, noting what was wrong and what has been fixed.
  • We do not silently edit articles to remove errors without disclosure.
  • If an error is significant enough to change the meaning of a story, a correction note is also added to our social media posts linking to that article.
  • Opinion and analysis pieces that contain factual errors are corrected in the same manner as news articles.

Types of Corrections

Factual Correction

An incorrect fact — a name, date, figure, or event — is updated and a correction note is added at the top of the article.

Clarification

When the original text was not inaccurate but was misleading or lacked important context, a clarification note is added.

Retraction

In rare cases where an article cannot be corrected and should not have been published, it will be retracted. The original URL will display a retraction notice explaining why.

Update

When a story develops after publication, an update note is added at the top with the date, without altering the original reporting.

How to Report an Error

If you believe we have published inaccurate information, please contact our editorial desk. Include the article URL, the specific error, and any supporting sources or evidence you can provide.

We aim to review all correction requests within 24 hours on weekdays. All requests are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial Responsibility

Final responsibility for all corrections rests with Nikhil, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Indian Media House. Correction decisions are made independently and are not influenced by any advertiser, source, or third party.

For our full editorial standards, see our About page.

This corrections policy applies to all content published on indianmediahouse.com. Last reviewed: June 2026.
